Human Side of Security

This is a video from Bruce Schneier from an interview he conducted on the human side of security. I've always said the major drawback to any security system is the dependency it has or does not have on its owner/user. In government service, this is our biggest obstacle. So many times we encounter people who have the world to protect but treat the assets for which they're responsible for like they're replaceable. AS security professionals we HAVE to get our owners and users on the same page as us. They say we're needed no matter what meeting we go to, but they treat us as inconvenience until something happens. In some cases, that is perfectly justified. We have to find new and innovative ways to share some common ground and deliver a product/service that meets all of our needs. This is the biggest challenge we face yet.
